THE BLACK BEAT MOVEMENT : NU SOUL & HIP IHOP

Black Beat Movement is an alternative soul collective founded in Milan in 2012.
The band builds its sound mixing the richness of nu soul and hip hop with new songwriting.
Their incessant touring brought them all over Italy and further, and has seen them opening for many popular artist, such as: Alpha Blondy, Julian Marley, Africa Unite, Sud Sound System, Clementino, Aprés la Classe, The Bluebeaters, Hiatus Kaiyote, Luciano and The Coup.
2013 marks the release of the Ep BLACK BEAT MOVEMENT, distributed by Maninalto Records, and sees the band perform twice at Sziget Festival, Budapest, after winning the Italian contest.
In 2014, they publish their first full-length album, ID-LEAKS, containing the single AFLAME feat. Bunna, both distributed by BMRecords, and are finalists at Arezzo Wave 2014 contest.
In January 2016 Black Beat Movement released the new record LOVE MANIFESTO, in partnership with Grande Onda and Maninalto! distributed by Universal.
In April they played at La Maroquinerie, Paris, as finalist of the AfroPunk contest.
In September they won the KeepOn Prize as one of the best band live in Italy.
